Jacques Vermeulen has been appointed group CEO of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA). Vermeulen previously served as managing director of CCBA’s International Division, which include all of CCBA’s operations outside South Africa. He first joined the Coca-Cola system in 1995. Phil Gutsche, CCBA chairman, said that Vermeulen’s role in the International Division has built a strong business, positioning the company for growth and expansion in Africa. Vermeulen takes over from Doug Jackson, CCBA’s former group CEO and 35 year veteran of Coca-Cola System.
